Wardrobe Designer Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to Wardrobe Designer, the app for designing wardrobes in 3D and calculating their parts on iPhone and iPad (the “App”), developed and published by ArtingSoft (“we”, “us”, “our”). It explains what happens to your information when you use the App, and it sets out the limits of our responsibility. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
In short: we don’t collect any personal data ourselves, and the App has no accounts. Your projects stay on your device. The free version shows full-screen ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device and usage data to show and measure them, as explained in section 5. Purchases are handled by Apple. The parts list, edge banding and hardware the App calculates are estimates for a typical construction, so always check them against real measurements before you cut or order anything.
1. Information we collect
We, ArtingSoft, don’t collect, store, sell or share any personal data through the App. The App doesn’t ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts or any other personal information. We don’t have servers that the App sends your data to, and we don’t use analytics or crash-reporting tools.
The App does include one third-party SDK: the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob), which shows ads. Google collects data through it on its own behalf, as described in section 5. Apple handles purchases, as described in section 6.
2. Data stored on your device
To work, the App stores the following only on your device, inside the App’s own storage:
- the projects you save: their names, the wardrobe designs (dimensions, installation type, sections, interior items, doors, handles and materials) and small preview pictures;
- the project you’re working on, saved automatically so that you don’t lose it if the App closes;
- your settings, such as language, units (millimetres or inches), view options and vibration;
- whether you’ve made a purchase, your advertising consent choice, if you were asked for one, and whether the App has already asked you to rate it.
We can’t see, access or recover this data. It isn’t sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the App, this data is deleted as well. Depending on your device settings, it may be included in your iCloud or computer backups, which are handled by Apple, not by us.
3. Photos permission
If you choose to save a picture of your wardrobe to Photos, iOS asks you to allow the App to add images to your photo library. The App only adds the picture you chose. It can’t read, upload, change or delete your other photos. You can change this permission at any time in the iOS Settings app.
4. Exporting and sharing
You can export the specification as an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file, or share a picture of your wardrobe. The App creates the file on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet, which sends it to the app, service or person you choose. We don’t receive a copy.
When you choose Google Sheets, the App copies the table to your device’s clipboard and opens a new Google Sheets document in your browser, where you paste it yourself. While the table is on the clipboard, other apps you paste into can read it, as with anything you copy.
Once you share or export something, how it’s handled is governed by the recipient and by the privacy policy of the app or service you used, such as Google, Microsoft or your email provider, not by this policy.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the App shows full-screen (interstitial) ads, for example before the specification opens and from time to time while you work. The ads are provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland). We don’t choose the individual ads you see, and we don’t receive any data about you from Google, only combined reports such as how many ads were shown.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process data from your device, such as:
- your IP address and the approximate location it indicates (the App never asks for your precise location);
- device and app information, such as the device model, operating system and its version, language, screen size and the App version;
- identifiers: the identifier for vendors (IDFV), and the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow it;
- advertising data, such as which ads were shown, whether you tapped them and how you interacted with them;
- diagnostic data, such as ad loading times and errors.
Google may use this data to show ads that are more relevant to you (personalised ads), or ads based only on general information such as the App and your approximate location (non-personalised ads). How Google uses this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the Google Privacy Policy. Google may also work with other certified ad partners, listed in Google’s ad technology providers list.
Your choices about ads
- Tracking. If the App asks for permission to track you, you can say no. Without your permission, Google can’t access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA). You can turn this off for all apps at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Where the law requires it, the App asks for your consent through Google’s consent message before Google uses your data for personalised ads. You can change your choice later in the App.
- Personalised ads. You can manage how Google personalises ads on My Ad Center and turn off Apple’s own personalised ads in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- No ads. You can remove ads by buying Wardrobe Designer Pro (see section 6). Then the App stops loading ads.
6. Purchases
The App offers an optional upgrade, Wardrobe Designer Pro. It removes ads, unlocks exporting the specification and lets you save pictures without a watermark. Pro is sold through the App Store as a one-time purchase or as an auto-renewable yearly or monthly subscription, and payments are processed entirely by Apple. We don’t receive your name, email address, Apple Account or payment details. The App only receives confirmation from Apple of whether a purchase is active, so that it can unlock the purchase on your device. You can restore your purchases on another device with “Restore Purchases”.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules. Apple’s handling of your information is described in the Apple Privacy Policy, and the purchase terms are set out in Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which serves as the App’s terms of use.
From time to time the App may show Apple’s standard prompt asking you to rate it. Your rating and review go to Apple and are published on the App Store under Apple’s rules. We don’t receive any information about whether you rated the App.
7. Children
The App is a tool for planning furniture and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children, and the App doesn’t ask Google to treat its users as children. Purchases always go through Apple’s own payment screen, and parents can control them with Apple’s Ask to Buy and Screen Time features. If you believe a child has used the App and you’re concerned about the data Google may have collected, please contact us.
8. Accuracy of calculations
The App calculates part sizes, edge banding, the number of sheets, hardware and other figures automatically, based on a typical wardrobe construction. Real furniture can differ depending on the hardware, the materials, the thickness of the board, the cutting equipment and the manufacturing technology used, and on the actual walls, floor and ceiling of the room.
All figures and 3D views are therefore estimates provided for planning only. They aren’t a professional design, a technical drawing or a quote. Before cutting, ordering materials or building anything, you or your manufacturer must check every dimension against real measurements and the requirements of your materials and hardware. You’re solely responsible for the final design, the order and the way the furniture is made, installed and used.
9. Your designs and backups
Your designs exist only on your device. We don’t keep copies, so we can’t restore anything that has been lost. You’re responsible for keeping your own copies, for example by exporting the specification or saving a picture. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t responsible for the loss, deletion, corruption or unavailability of any design, specification, exported file, setting or other data, whatever the cause. This includes, for example, deleting or reinstalling the App, an update, a change in iOS, a lost, stolen, damaged or reset device, running out of storage, or an error in the App.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. These include warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with your device, that its calculations will be correct for your project, or that it will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ArtingSoft and its developers won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages. Nor will they be liable for any of the following, however they arise:
- incorrect or wrongly cut parts, wasted or extra materials, hardware or edge banding, or the cost of ordering, cutting, delivering or remaking them;
- furniture that doesn’t fit, doesn’t work or is defective, and any delays, installation costs or damage to property;
- injury caused by making, installing or using furniture designed with the App;
- loss of data, designs or work;
- the content of third-party ads, or any products, services or websites they lead to;
- loss of profit, business, orders, time or opportunity;
- any non-material harm, including moral damages, emotional distress, mental anguish, frustration, disappointment or upset.
This applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), statute or any other legal theory, and even if we were told such damage was possible. If, despite this, we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App and in-app purchases during the 12 months before the claim.
Some countries don’t allow certain warranties or liability to be excluded. In those countries, the exclusions above apply only to the extent the law allows. Nothing in this policy excludes liability that can’t be excluded by law, nor does it affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the Ukrainian Law “On Personal Data Protection” may give you rights over your personal data. Because we don’t collect or store any personal data about you, we hold nothing to access, correct, export or delete, apart from any emails you’ve sent us. To remove everything the App has stored on your device, simply delete the App. Data collected by Google for advertising is controlled by Google: you can exercise your rights over it through your Google Account, My Ad Center or the contact options in the Google Privacy Policy. Where we rely on your consent for personalised ads, you can withdraw it at any time in the App.
12. Emails to us
If you write to our support email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and don’t share it with anyone. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
13. This website
This page is hosted on GitHub Pages and uses Google Fonts. It doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking. However, your browser connects to GitHub and Google to load it, and they may log technical data such as your IP address. See the GitHub Privacy Statement and the Google Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new features to the App or change our advertising or purchase options. When we do, we’ll publish the new version on this page and update the effective date above. By continuing to use the App after a change, you accept the updated policy.
